Summer School for M.Sc Chemistry Students at University of Hyderabad [2 Months, Stipend ₹7K/Month]: Apply by March 15
Period of the project
The project work is normally for a period of 60 days during Summer and 30 days month during Winter. Any change in this will have to be specially recommended by the faculty supervisor and approved by the Centre.
Eligibility
(i) I Year M. Sc. Chemistry students
(ii) III/IV Year M. Sc. (5-year integrated) Chemistry students, and
(iii) Students at similar level pursuing a postgraduate course with a substantial chemistry component in the curriculum may
apply.
The student should be enrolled in the course at the time of selection.
Maintenance allowance
The project students will be a paid a maintenance allowance of Rs.7,000/- per month for a maximum of 60 days (the payment is made on completion of every 30 days of visit). This is not a fellowship, and is intended to cover the food and miscellaneous expenses incurred by the student during the project period. Allowance for the last month will be paid only after submission of the project report.
Travel allowance
The cost of train ticket (by sleeper class) for return travel between the educational institution where the student is studying and Hyderabad, expressly for participating in the project, will be reimbursed by the Centre.
Cost of travel to and from the train station, by Government bus transport will also be provided. The student should produce all tickets in original to claim the travel allowance. The travel allowance will be paid only after submission of the project report. Any travel expenditure in addition to those mentioned above will not be provided. Students from the North East will be paid airfare for their travel (only by Air India flights) between their educational institution and Kolkata (as per Government of India/UGC guidelines)
Accommodation
The Centre provides accommodation in the UGC-NRC Hostel, School of Chemistry (adjacent to the School). The student is not required to pay for the accommodation. However, the payment for all other charges including the cost of food is to be borne by the student; all inmates of the Hostel are required to avail the catering facility provided in the Hostel.

Applications received till March 15, 2020 will be considered for the projects in Summer 2020. Selected candidates will be informed in the April 2020.
You will be required to produce a consent letter from your Head of the department stating the course you are studying and the subjects offered, before starting the project.
